The Judiciary of Zanzibar

The court is a legal institution that ensures the enforcement of laws in accordance with the Constitution. In Zanzibar, a dual legal system is used, which includes the Kadhi's Court that handles Islamic legal matters such as marriage, divorce, and inheritance, as well as the Civil Court, which deals with non-Islamic matters, including criminal cases and civil rights.
